The Trouble with Music  by Matt Calahan   (Book Review)
This book is a must read  for all of us!  ~by LaDonna Smith

I'd suggest researching the following topics:

I.  "Mastery" (as relates to music) for instance:
"Effortless Mastery" - Werner
"The Inner Game of Music" - Green
"You Are your Instrument" Julie Lyonn Liebermann

II.    Sports Psychology
this topic may be a surprising suggestion, but is
concerned with
the "zone": mental conditioning/training &
performance.

III.
   Spirituality/meditation/self hypnosis etc.

IV.   Autobiographical writing by musicians
a related title: "Flow" - Csikzentmihalyi  is interesting
but not easy reading...
